While fans miss Priyanka Chopra in Hindi films, the desi girl is on a spree of signing back-to-back Hollywood projects. What started with Quantico 6 years ago has concluded with Chopra becoming a global star. She is not only a part of the show business now, but is bossing her haircare line, her restaurant and her recently launched silverware line. And just as she is expanding her businesses, the actress’ list of projects is also being populated with promising work.
Chopra was last seen in Matrix Resurrection as Sati, after which she quickly jumped on to her next project. The arrival of her baby, Malti, may have slowed down the pace of her work right now, but the actress is still making sure she is on her fans’ screen soon enough. She has joined hands with Mindy Kaling for a film that is based on Indian weddings.
Spilling the beans about the same, Kaling recently revealed that Chopra will be playing a Punjabi woman in the film. The two will play cousins in the romantic comedy. Kaling discussed the ‘diverse representation of the Asian experience in her projects,’ with Forbes and said, “We’re really proud of it, we show South Asian Americans that are from Southern Indian. Then we show a Muslim Indian girl. Culturally we see how they’re different from each other. The Asian experience is not a monolith. Why would people necessarily know that if they don’t have shows that explain and explore that difference?”
While this film sure sounds interesting, Priyanka Chopra has more projects lined up for release. From romantic comedies to slice-of-life films, Chopra will be seen in different avatars and that’s always a good news for her fans.

Another interesting project that Chopra is a part of is Russo Brother’s Citadel. The much-awaited sci-fi and spy TV series will see Chopra in an action avatar alongside Richard Madden. No plot information about the show has been revealed yet but spinoffs are set to be developed in India, Italy, and Mexico. Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK will be working on the Indian version of the show.
Untitled Sangeet Project
PeeCee and Nick Jonas have backed an Amazon Prime Video show titled Sangeet. It is an unscripted series based on the eponymous pre-wedding dance ceremony that takes place during desi weddings. She had announced the series on her Instagram account on the first anniversary of their wedding.
Cowboy Ninja Viking
Cowboy Ninja Viking is an adaptation of AJ Lieberman and illustrator Riley Rossmo’s graphic novel of the same name. Chopra was supposed to be seen as the female lead in a story that revolves around an assassin who possesses multiple personalities. The actress was supposed to be sharing screen space with Chris Pratt. The project was shelved after being announced in 2018, but whether it is still in development or not is not clear.
Jee Le Zaraa
Another project that was announced starring Peecee was Jee Le Zaraa where she’ll be seen alongside Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt. The makers revealed that the story of the movie would be somewhere along the lines of Zoya Akhtar’s Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. However, whether the film is happening or not remains unclear at this point. Ever since the announcement, many reports citing different reasons, have suggested that the film could be shelved.
Sheela
Back in 2022, Chopra revealed that she is developing a biopic on Ma Anand Sheela. Oscar-winning director Barry Levinson approached her for the movie. She had then said that it will be a while before the project goes on the floors and since then, no detail about this project has been shared by the team.
Tulia
Lastly, Chopra is also rumoured to be a part of Seth Gordon’s Tulia. The film is based on the infamous 1999 case that witnessed the arrest of dozens of men, mostly African-Americans, for a drug scandal based on the word of an unreliable cop. Chopra and Gordon have worked on Baywatch before and will allegedly be reuniting for this film.
