Priyanka Chopra Jonas, a global star, often comes under the radar of trolls and is bashed for the most frivolous things. The actress, however, makes sure that she maintains her calm, and not respond to the hate coming her way. However, when an Australian journalist questioned if Chopra and her husband, Nick Jonas, were significant enough to announce the nominations for the 2021 Oscars, the actress made sure she gives him a befitting answer.
The couple announced the nominees for the 2021 Oscars on March 14, and according to her, they killed it. But Peter Ford, the journalist who identifies himself as “the best & most widely heard entertainment reporter” in Australia and New Zealand, had contradictory thoughts. Ford took to Twitter to call out the duo and questioned if they were ‘qualified enough’ to be the host for Oscar nominations.
Ford, in his now-deleted tweet, wrote, “No disrespect to these two but I’m not sure their contribution to the movies qualifies them to be announcing Oscar nominees.” Chopra Jonas shut down the journalist with the sassiest reply. Attaching a video which featured a list of her films, she tweeted, “Would love your thoughts on what qualifies someone. Here are my 60+ film credentials for your adept consideration.” Baywatch, The Matrix 4, and Isn’t It Romantic were some of the films that were listed in the Quantico star’s IMDb movie credits.

We cannot forget to mention Jonas’ achievements here as well. The singer has his own resume to speak for itself. The Spaceman singer has 79 acting credits, including his recent projects Jumanji: The Next Level, Midway and Kingdom. Not just that, he had also received two Grammy nominations as a part of Jonas Brothers’ song Sucker. The song also became No. 1 on Billboard’s Pop Songs Chart in 2019. The couple has also turned producers for an Amazon show.
“I am just like everyone else,” the 38-year-old actress told Marie Claire. “In the morning when I’m driving to work or I’m having my coffee, I’m flipping through Twitter, Instagram, the news, and when my name pops up, I’m like, ‘Alright, what are people saying? How are we feeling?’ I just don’t react to it or let it affect my mental well-being,” Chopra Jonas had revealed.
