The imminent release of Prince Harry’s memoir has been confirmed.

Penguin Random House will be responsible for the release globally in late 2022, as announced on their social media.

“I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but the man I have become,” read a quote by the duke on the image against a dark background.

“Covering his lifetime in the public eye from childhood to the present day, including his dedication to service, the military duty that twice took him to the frontlines of Afghanistan, and the joy he has found in being a husband and father, Prince Harry will offer an honest and captivating personal portrait, one that shows readers that behind everything they think they know lies an inspiring, courageous, and uplifting human story,” read part of the caption.

It is speculated that he had been working on the draft for nearly a year alongside ghost-writer J.R. Moehringer. The first draft is supposedly almost ready.

A Pulitzer winner, Moehringer has previously written memoirs for tennis legend Andre Agassi and Nike co-founder Phil Knight. His own autobiography, The Tender Bar, is being made into a movie by George Clooney.

“I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become,” said Harry in a statement when the news broke out to the world. “I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story— the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned — I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.

“I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I’ve learned over the course of my life so far and excited for people to read a first-hand account of my life that’s accurate and wholly truthful,” the statement continued.

It is unclear what the book will cover, but some expected topics could be the decision of him and Meghan Markle stepping down from royal duties to the death of his mother and the royal family’s reaction to it.
