The Crown has grown to be one of Netflix’s most successful originals yet. It has managed to give viewers an unfiltered, detailed look at the British royal family. The series seems to shift its focus on one specific couple or family member with every season, while revolving around Queen Elizabeth. The latest, fourth season looked at the lives of Prince Charles, Princess Diana and former UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. But now, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle want Netflix to reportedly stop The Crown before it gets to their story.
Earlier this year, we got news that the couple has signed an expensive, multi-year deal with Netflix. According to The Mirror, royal biographer Angela Levin warned the couple that tying up with the streaming giant was a “terrible error” as its show “is ridiculing his father, his mother and his grandmother.”

But the couple reportedly used this newly-formed partnership as leverage, and demanded that Netflix end The Crown before it gets to them. But Levin believes this could prove to be a mistake, since she believes that Netflix might ‘use them’ to get private information about their lives that could “absolutely decry the Royal Family.”
Levin said Prince Harry told her the royals were “all absolutely watching everything” on the show but that he was “going to insist it stops before it reaches me.”
“I think the way that he has left the Royal Family, the way he did it, and he’s changed. He’s almost unrecognisable from Prince Harry I spent a lot of time with.
“But I think, you know, Meghan is desperate to earn lots of money and Netflix offered them something. I think they’re being naive as they have been about lots of things in that they don’t realise that a big company like Netflix is going to want its pint of blood.
“They’re going to delve in and get a lot of information that will absolutely decry the Royal Family.”
