YRF’s Pathan is surely one of the most anticipated films currently. Not only does it mark Shah Rukh Khan’s return on the big screen after the alleged sabbatical, but it also marks Deepika Padukone’s reunion with her Om Shanti Om co-star. Fans have been waiting with bated breath to know details about the project. However, the team has been tight-lipped about what the film will look like.
The plot, Shah Rukh Khan’s character has been kept under wraps by the makers of the film but details about Padukone’s role have surfaced online. It is being reported that the actress will be seen doing high octane action scenes in the film. The last time we saw Padukone attempt something like this was in Chandani Chowk To China.
A source close to the development said, “Deepika is shooting for high octane action scenes for Pathan currently. They are shooting the scenes in Mumbai itself, and Deepika has done intense prep for it.” The film also marks Padukone’s third collaboration with John Abraham, who will be seen in the role of the antagonist in Pathan.
Apart from SRK, Abraham and Padukone, the film is also said to have an exciting cameo. Salman Khan’s Tiger will make a special entry in the film. Khan had dropped the hint about shooting for SRK’s Pathan a few weeks ago. Midday had reported that Salman Khan will have a 15-minute appearance in the film.
“It is Aditya Chopra‘s vision to build an espionage thriller franchise with some of India’s biggest stars as RAW agents. While Salman and Hrithik Roshan have already begun their acts with the Tiger films and War (2019) respectively, director Siddharth Anand’s latest venture introduces SRK in the universe. Adi Sir wants to begin the crossover with Pathan, and has designed a thrilling set-piece that we’ll see,” a source revealed.
Apart from this, Padukone also has ’83 alongside husband Ranveer Singh, Shakun Batra’s untitled next featuring Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Siddharth Anand’s Fighter co-starring Hrithik Roshan in her kitty.
