Marvel decided to make the most out of the weekend. The floodgates of movies and shows announcements were opened at the Comic-Con festival in San Diego and fans cannot keep calm. While fans await more about the upcoming projects, here is a list of actors who have joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will be seen in some of the future projects..

Emilia Clarke

Daenerys Targaryen of Game Of Thrones, Emilia Clarke, will be seen in the miniseries called Secret Invasion in which she will be playing an undisclosed role. The series has actors like Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelson, and Don Cheadle to name a few. All set to launch in 2023, this six-episode series is part of phase five of the MCU.

Olivia Colman

Another addition to Secret Invasion is Olivia Colman. In the trailer, she is seen playing the role of a friend of Nick Fury played by Samuel L. Jackson. She has been known for her roles in projects like Peep Show, Fleabag, Twenty Twelve, Accused and The Mitchells vs. the Machines among others.

Maria Bakalova

The sequel of the 2014 movie Guardians of the Galaxy, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was also announced at the festival. The movie, which is set to release in 2023, will also feature Maria Bakalova. She will be playing the role of Cosmo the Spacedog which is a dog who was sent to space by the Soviet Union.

Chukwudi Iwuji

Chukwudi Iwuji who is known for his role in DC’s Peacemaker will be seen in the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. He will be playing the character of the High Evolutionary. Actor Chris Pratt, in an interview, revealed that Iwuji’s role is going to be one of the most complex characters of all.

Bill Murray

The release date of the sequel to 2015’s Ant-Man, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was also unveiled at the San Diego Comic Con. This movie which is set to release in 2023, will be the first film of phase five of the MCU. While the lead role is played by Paul Rudd, Bill Murray has been cast to play an undisclosed role of a villain. He has won several awards for his roles in projects like Translation, Ghostbusters, The Dead Don’t Die and The Grand Budapest Hotel, among others.

Kathryn Newton

Along with Murray, Kathryn Newton has also been cast in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. She has done a variety of roles in projects like The Society, Supernatural, Hold and Catch Fire. In this movie, she will be playing the role of Scott Lang’s daughter who is being played by Paul Rudd. This role was previously played by Emma Fuhrman.

Michaela Coel

British actress Michaela Coel who is known for her roles in shows like I May Destroy You and Chewing Gum, will be seen in the movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. She was cast in 2021 for the role of Aneka, who trains the female warriors in Wakanda for special forces.

Tenoch Huerta

The world got to know about Mexican actor Tenoch Huerta when he played the role of drug lord Rafael Caro Quintero in Narcos: Mexico. Now the actor has joined the MCU clan with his role in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever as Namor. He is the son of a human sea captain and a prince of a kingdom which is under the sea. He is a superhuman who defends his species from people trying to exploit them.
