According to a 2012 report in CBS News, India celebrates about 10 million weddings a year, and one can be sure that that number has gone up exponentially in the past seven years. This brings us to the front seat view we enjoy for our favourite celebrity weddings, courtesy the paparazzi and an enamoured media.

The first major wedding event of last year was the Kapoor-Ahuja union, and the actress has always been extremely social media-friendly. The photos, likes and retweets fed this media frenzy, and thanks to social media, we also got to witness an allegedly inebriated Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor. It was a delight to see stars act just like your favourite uncle would at your wedding.

There have been so many weddings in Bollywood lately that one doesn’t know what’s a fact and what is only a rumour. Of course, there’s that old saying – there’s no smoke without fire. Now, the latest whisper going about town is that Varun Dhawan and his childhood sweetheart, Natasha Dalal are all set to tie the knot in December of this year.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the couple has decided to have their wedding in Goa i.e. it’s going to be a beach wedding, guys!

In an interview with Filmfare a while ago, Varun Dhawan has finally opened up about his long-time sweetheart and wedding rumours that seem to plague every couple in Bollywood.

“She (Natasha) and I went to school together. So, she knows my parents since ages. She’s been attending functions with my parents before also but it wasn’t photographed then. She’s my rock, she’s my anchor. She’s the stabilising factor in my life. It’s pretty much like family,” he told the entertainment magazine.

However, on being asked if a wedding was on the cards this year, the actor answered in the negative.

“It’s not going to happen this year. I’m not saying I won’t get married but it’s not this soon. If I’m doing all these movies, I need to find the right time for that,” he had said.
