If you’re privileged during this national lockdown, your best friend is Netflix and other OTT platforms. And boy, do they seem to be delivering. Netflix has released the first look of its upcoming Indian original series called Betaal which is a zombie-horror show being produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. The series is set to release on May 24.
The official synopsis of Betaal states that in a remote village, Indian police officers are pitted against two-century-old Betaal, a British Indian Army officer, and his battalion of zombie redcoats. Betaal stars Vineet Kumar, Aahana Kumra, Suchitra Pillai, Jitendra Joshi, Manjiri Pupala, and Syna Anand.
The series is directed by Patrick Graham who previously worked on the Netflix horror series, Ghoul.
