Here’s the thing – sure, anybody hating on Neha Kakkar for her music is a snob because we all know that nobody is grooving to Mozart’s Piano Concerto No.23 after seven shots of vodka on a Friday night at the club. That doesn’t mean that she is a Shreya Ghoshal, a Sunidhi Chauhan or an Arijit Singh for that matter. Her songs are earworms and have been chart-toppers – in fact, Dilbar was the first Indian song ever to reach the number 3 spot on the Billboard YouTube Music Chart.
She has faced massive criticism along with other artists for “recreating” old songs. While these remixes generally tend to do astoundingly well on YouTube and at the clubs, they aren’t appreciated by music critics or even the singers who sang the original song. Kakkar has also been trolled on social media for getting emotional during her judging stint on television reality shows but has taken it on the chin.

However, for myriad reasons, Kakkar is not exactly “taken seriously” and this is, perhaps, where the snobbery comes in. Then, of course, there are times when celebs have referred to her as the “Indian Shakira” or said that the music industry without Kakkar is ‘nothing’. These end up becoming fodder for the troll brigade who troll Neha Kakkar.
However, it does go without saying that Kakkar and her husband, Rohanpreet Singh are possibly the most cringe celebrity couple in Bollywood.
Their latest cringe moment was when they released a reel on social media wherein Kakkar gets “aggressive” about Rohanpreet’s exes. It is nauseating, to say the least.

Then, there was that time when they faked a pregnancy to promote their music video, Khyaal Rakhya Kar. It did drive quite a few fans up the wall.
There was also that BTS video from Khyaal Rakhya Kar where she touches her pregnant belly and says: “Kick Maara” and Rohanpreet Singh joins in by touching her belly.
