One of the fashion’s biggest events, the Met Gala, saw some of the biggest moments in the history of fashion in New York. The first Monday of May is quite special for the fashion world. Also known as the Oscars of fashion, the gala involves figures from the worlds of movies, music, sports, politics, and more, who walk up the steps of the Metropolitan Museum in a parade of extravaganza and wonderful looks.

 

This year, the museum is celebrating “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion,” a continuation of the same showcase that debuted last September, the first time the Gala deviated from its set date, thanks to the pandemic.

The exhibition’s first part followed American fashion, whereas the second half celebrates ‘Glided Glamour’ – the styles of the Gilded Age, which spanned from 1870 to 1899. It was the era of white ties and voluminous ball gowns and the utmost showcase of wealth.

From Ryan Reynolds to Jared Leto, here are the best-dressed men who were seen on the 2022 Met Gala red carpet.

EVAN MOCK

Gossip Girl star Evan Mock wore a lemon corset that he paired with a frilly crisp white shirt from Head of State.

 

RYAN REYNOLDS

Ryan Reynolds, who served as co-chair of the event, alongside his wife Blake Lively, opted for a velvet brown tuxedo by Ralph Lauren finished with a white bow tie.

 

JOE JONAS

Joe Jonas opted for a white wore a long white suit coat with black pants, both were in Louis Vuitton.

 

JARED LETO

Jared Leto twinned with Gucci’s Creative Director Alessandro Michele in a custom Gucci ivory silk double-breasted jacket with black velvet contrast peak lapel and all-over floral bouquet embroideries, white evening shirt with bib and silk burette pants with all-over floral bouquet embroideries with gold beads and pearls.

 

FREDRIK ROBERTSSON

Fredrik Robertsson went for a full Iris van Herpen, and was initially mistaken for Leto on the red carpet.

Anderson Pak showed up at the red carpet in a head-to-toe Gucci ensemble.

 

SHAWN MENDES

Shawn Mendes looked dapper in a navy and maroon coat by Tommy Hilfiger, which he wore over a matching tuxedo.

 

LAQUAN SMITH

The fashion designer opted for a silver tuxedo jacket with black trousers by Tom Ford for the gala.

 

ASHTON SANDERS

Ashton Sanders chose a gold-trimmed denim ensemble by Casablanca, along with white contact lenses to complete the look.
