Matthew McConaughey has many titles attached to his name. He is an actor, a father, a husband, and a ‘pickle lover’, according to his Instagram bio, and is now thinking about adding another title to the list. McConaughey arrived on Jimmy Fallon’s talk show, ‘The Tonight Show‘, on March 22, and opened up about how he has been thinking about taking political office. He said that this is an honourable thing to do, and he is very much thinking about it.

This statement was made by the actor after he confirmed on ‘The Balanced Voice Podcast’ that he has thought of running for governor in Texas, a few days back. McConaughey revealed to Fallon, “Well, it’s come up a lot lately. And I’m gonna say to you now the same thing I’ve been saying, which is true. It’s not a dodge. And when I say it’s something, I’m giving consideration, absolutely. What an honourable thing to even be able to consider. But that’s no further than that right now, sir.”
The actor further opened up about how he and his family had to face trouble due to the February Texas snowstorms. “Look, we’re doing good. We had, you know, a couple of pipes break. We’ve had to pull up some drywall in the house. Lost power. Just got off having to boil water four days ago. But the problem in Texas is there are tens of thousands that aren’t in as good a shape as we are right now. There’s a lot of people that are out of homes,” said the 51-year-old actor.
