Mark Ruffalo may have Tweeted to confirm his involvement in the upcoming Disney+ project Moon Knight.
About a week ago Instagram user Dora Magyari shared a photo with Mark Ruffalo outside a hotel in Budapest, which has been a primary filming location for the Disney+ series.
Budapest is also the location where She-Hulk is being filmed and the Ruffalo sighting may as well have been a coincidence, but Magyari also got a photo with Oscar Isaac shortly thereafter.
Isaac is confirmed to be in Budapest to film Moon Knight, but Ruffalo doesn’t have any confirmed projects that are currently filming. Now that it is known he is in Budapest and at the same hotel as Isaac, a Hulk appearance in Moon Knight seems plausible.
In true MCU fans fashion, the rumour mill did not halt, the fans have learned to read into the details as Marvel tends to remain tight-lipped till the very end of the projects. The actor took to Twitter to share this kind of cryptic message as his two cents on the matter.
“As the person who’s responsible for this next phase of the MCU, I would hate to spoil something. I have learned the hard way,” he wrote.
Ruffalo’s tweet alludes to him getting in trouble for being loose-lipped about future developments in the MCU. But at the same time, the statement seems to confirm he is in trouble because he is involved in the project. However, he could also just be poking fun.
Ruffalo is confirmed to be in the She-Hulk series alongside Tatiana Maslany and Jameela Jamil. The character of Bruce Banner, AKA Hulk, has a lot of history with Jennifer Walters, AKA She-Hulk, in the comics since they are cousins. Hulk doesn’t have that same history with Moon Knight, however, so if indeed he does show up in Moon Knight on Disney+, it will be interesting to see how they fit him in.
Since Universal Pictures holds still holds the rights to solo Hulk movies despite the ownership change, the last we saw a movie with him in the lead was 2008, in The Incredible Hulk.
Moon Knight is said to be available around 2022.
