Manoj Bajpayee is currently enjoying the OTT space. After making some major noise with The Family Man 2 on Amazon Prime, the actor is now going to appear in Netflix’s original anthology series titled Ray. While fans are excited to see the actor in the new avatar, the two OTT platforms engaged in a witty conversation regarding Bajpayee. As interesting as the tweet war was, Bajpee’s reaction to it won everyone’s heart.
It all started with Netflix’s tweet about the new series. They wrote, “@BajpayeeManoj coming to a Netflix series! We love that you’re a part of this family, man,” while taking a jibe at Amazon Prime’s show The Family Man. Amazon also took the challenge seriously and replied by saying, “Srikant, job badalne mein bada drastic change hua hoga an?”
Bajpayee could not help but reply as he dropped a comment saying, “Hahahahaha, that’s top class banter !! Job nahi role badla hai !!!” Fans absolutely loved his reply and lauded the actor for being so savage.
Talking about Ray, Manoj Bajpayee, Ali Fazal, Harshvarrdhan Kapoor, and Kay Kay Menon, are the stars of the four different stories included in this anthology. The anthology revolves around the lives of these four men and how eventually they learn some hard lessons in life. The four stories are titled ‘Hungama Hai Kyon Barpa’, ‘Forget Me Not’, ‘Bahrupiya’ and ‘Spotlight‘.
Helmed by Abhishek Chaubey, Srijit Mukherji and Vasan Bala, Ray also features Gajraj Rao, Shweta Basu Prasad, Anindita Bose, Bidita Bag, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Radhika Madan, Chandan Roy Sanyal and Akansha Ranjan Kapoor in key roles. The film will premiere on Netflix on June 25.
Talking about reuniting with his co-actors on the sets of The Family Man 2, Bajpayee told MW, “It’s a riot (laughs). We all are connected to each other on a WhatsApp group, but when we see each other in person, we all just pick it up from where we left off, and the most surprising thing was when I met my on-screen children. Ashlesha, who was 14 when she started shooting for The Family Man, is now going to be 18 very soon. Vedant’s (who played my son) voice has changed, you know. He’s much taller as compared to last time. Since we are connected to each other through social media, we always pick it up from where we left off.
