Shor In The City

Shor in the city was a critically acclaimed film, released in 2011, that starred Tushar Kapoor and Nikhil Dwivedi alongside Radhika. Even though the film did not do well at the box office, it was well received by critics and Radhika’s performance was written about in almost every review of the film.

Vetri Selvan

A Tamil drama-thriller, Vetri Selvan, had Radhika Apte and Ajmal Ameer in the lead roles and directed by Rudhran. The movie was shot down by critics for its weak story and other technical aspects, but Radhika’s performance was like finding a diamond in the dirt. Her performance had the ability to completely stand out from a failed movie and she managed to make a name for herself in the South Indian film industry.

Haram

Haram was a romantic drama Malayalam film, starring Radhika and Fahad Faasil. It was written, edited and directed by National Award winning filmmaker, Vinod Sukumaran. The film depicted the struggles of an urban married couple and their irreconcilable differences. The film did moderately well, but again, the ability of Radhika’s performance, to blind the weak spots of a film worked magically once again. Even though it wasn’t accepted well by critics, a lot of the audience who struggled with similar problems shown in the film, claimed it was a film that unfortunately cannot be understood by people who cannot empathize with the problems of a couple who are both hungry for corporate success.
