Do You Know What These Yesteryear’s TV Actors Are Doing Now?

Even though we are not too keen on watching Indian soaps now, these TV actors will always hold nostalgic value for us.

They had come into our lives as guests, but we didn’t know that the relationships that they would portray on the screen, would become a part of our daily lives and thoughts. We remember sitting with our mother and watching these TV serials, and even though we are too cool to watch Indian soaps now, these TV actors will always hold nostalgic value for us.

Some of them like Ronit Roy might still be doing very well, but some have had to contend with far less popularity. Let’s take a look at who these stars are.

Aamna Sharif

She looks just as graceful, and even has a kid now. We last saw her on screen in Ek Villain where she played Riteish Deshmukh’s wife. We really hope she gets more roles,  and she chooses to revive her acting career again.

Cezanne Khan

After Kasautii Zindagi Ke, we didn’t hear much about its lead actor Cezanne Khan. Reports suggest that he moved to Pakistan (and acted in their soaps) for a bit, but he did make a comeback (not that we noticed) in &TV’s show Gangaa.

Amar Upadhyay

The Mihir Virani – one who had to come back from dead on popular demand by the lovers of this show called Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Amar Upadhyay didn’t find much success after the show and his films tanked miserably. That said, he made a comeback by playing a character called Dharam in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya.  “The character of Mihir has stood the test of time and I’ve always wanted to better myself. That’s the reason I took up the role in ‘Saathiya’, where my character Dharam is a person with a heart of gold, but circumstances compel him to go against his inborn goodness,” he was quoted as saying by TOI.

Urvashi Dholakia

The ultimate vamp Komolika Basu (who had a special background score every time she came into the picture) was immortalized by Urvashi Dholakia. But she didn’t find similar success later, even though she is still in television – playing the role of Queen Iravati in Chandrakaanta.

Nausheen Ali Sardar

The Kkusum actress who found so much love, Nausheen Ali Sardar unfortunately met with an accident which changed her appearance to an extent. However, she came back to TV with &TV’s Gangaa. These comebacks totally escaped our notice, so we are as surprised as you are after this piece.
