It’s one thing to be confident, and it is another to be Kanye West. No Kardashian drama, no ban, and no deal disassociation seem to have changed Ye for the better. He continues to make headlines for all the wrong reasons. After being ousted by several luxury brands over his anti-semitic comments, Ye has now announced that he’s running for U.S. president in 2024.
The run marks his second attempt at becoming the president of the United States of America. In a recent video, Ye told the
paparazzi: “Yes… It’s simple…. It’s just we’re moving toward the future,” when quizzed about the same.
He further disclosed that Milo Yiannopoulos “is working on the campaign” with him. The alt-right political figure is a former Breitbart senior editor. He was interning for the Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene before. Ye and Yiannopoulos are yet to comment on how they will take this campaign ahead.
And, while the news of him running for President is bizarre enough, we cannot forget all the strange things Ye has been involved with in the past few months. He got involved in several verbal spats with Kim Kardashian’s ex-boyfriend Pete Davidson. He promoted a “White Lives Matter” t-shirt while his Yeezy line premiered at Paris Fashion Week.
That’s not all. Kanye West also passed racial slurs at Daily Show host Trevor Noah, condemned comedian D.L. Hughley’s work, and attacked Kid Cudi for being friends with Davidson. This was done in the public eye on social media platforms.
