Kangana Ranaut may not be ready to address Dhaakad’s failure in detail, but she is all set to return to the theatres with a new film. The actress quickly shifted her focus from the failed action film to her new project. Known to share even the smallest detail about a project she works on, Ranaut kept her fans on their toes, guessing what her next film would look like. Finally, the curtain has been raised from the first look of Emergency.
The film is a biopic on Former PM and Congress leader – Indira Gandhi. The teaser is a minute-long glimpse of Ranaut’s assertive character delivering a dialogue. Needless to say, Ranaut has put in all the efforts to mimic Gandhi well on the screen, but has she impressed the fans? Well, there are mixed reactions to the first look.
Ranaut’s body language, voice modulation, dialogue delivery, and many more things were discussed on Twitter soon after the actress shared the clip. Fans rushed to support her and cheer for her, while a certain section of Twitteratis declared the film as ‘another flop’ by the actress. Given the past record of her films’ box office business, the declaration by Twitter users is valid.

Fans Rushed In To Say:
Ranaut had first talked about this project in 2021. She’d told HT, “Pleased to wear director’s hat again, after working on Emergency for more than a year, I finally figured no one can direct it better than me. Collaborating with fabulous writer Ritesh Shah, even if it means sacrificing on various acting assignments I am determined to do it, my excitement is high. This is going to be a tremendous journey, my leap to another league #Emergency #Indira.”
Kangana Ranaut made her directorial debut with Manikarnika, and is returning to the chair once again for Emergency. She is also backing the film for a screenplay written by her Dhaakad director, Ritesh Shah. The release date of the film is yet to be announced.
