She celebrated her 47th birthday this Thursday.
She is getting a lot of traction on social media for her birthday, but not how she may have wanted.

When certain fans showed up at her door with a cake, she obliged by cutting the cake but refused to eat any of it or even take her mask off. When it came to clicking pictures, she was not one to flout the guidelines suggested as measures against a Covid-19 infection and kept her distance.
Netizens, in big numbers, seem to be of the opinion that the actress had an attitude and was being downright rude. Some went as far as to say that the fans just wasted their time on her.

However, husband Ajay Devgn was all hearts about the birthday girl on social media and wished her with an adorable picture of the two together.
“You have managed to bring a smile to my face for the longest time now…Happy birthday dearest Kajol; will try to make it as special as you are,” he captioned the post.
The couple had met on the set of Hulchul and married in 1999 post four years of dating. Both remember not being impressed with the other before they met on the set. Ajay thought she was talkative and arrogant while Kajol, mere minutes before meeting him on set, called her now-husband broody. They were both dating other people at the time, Kajol even remembers complaining about her then-boyfriend to Ajay, but both their associations ended soon.
It was not long before they became romantically involved; although there was no formal proposal and eventually went on to marry.
After miscarrying twice, the two were fortuned with their children, Nysa Devgan and Yug Devgan.
The couple shares a marriage of over two decades.
