Justin Beiber has landed his 20th Top 10 on Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart with Anyone, which debuts at No. 1 on the tally dated January 16. The song also debuted at Number One on the first Rolling Stone Top 100 Songs chart of 2021.
Bieber wrote the track with help from Andrew Watt and Jon Bellion, among others, before releasing it on New Year’s day. It is a 1980s and 1990s-inspired pop track, with a rhythmic pulse. It amassed more than 13 million streams in the first week of 2021.
Both Justin Bieber and Harry Styles debuted new music videos on Jan. 1. Bieber’s Anyone had the advantage early with 31.3 million views versus 15.1 million for Styles’ Treat People with Kindness. According to Tubular Audience Ratings, Bieber led Styles in terms of unique viewers globally across Facebook and YouTube every month from February through November of 2020, with over 7 million more unique viewers in November. Bieber also led Styles by minutes watched in November, with 142.3 million versus 86.3 million.
Justin Beiber recently appeared on Shark Tank on Friday to hawk an office chair. He stood up for the product and touted how the ALL33 chair from Simtec improved his posture and showed how it allowed him to do ab exercises. He also shot a basketball.
“If ya gotta sit, this is it,” he said. However, even after Beiber’s endorsement, the chair was ultimately rejected by Mark Cuban, Barbara Corcoran, and the other potential shark investors. But the Anyone singer’s video presentation, that he filmed in the fall, has allowed the company to experience “multiple record-breaking sales months” according to ET Canada.
Anyone had 16.5 million U.S. streams in the tracking week ending January 7, according to MRC Data.
