It has a while since we saw Varun Dhawan on the screen, and the excitement of his return doubled when his latest movie Jugjugg Jeeyo announced. The actor will be sharing the screen space with Kiara Advani for the second time after Kalank, and fans were excited to see their chemistry once again in this Dharma Productions’ film. 

The film also stars Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor, and is described as “a story set in the heart of Patiala and much like the city, it’s full of love and laughter, colour and drama. It’s about family and its values, unresolved yearnings, and unexpected reconciliations.” The makers shared the trailer of the film with fans yesterday and from the looks of it, people are pretty impressed with the small glimpse.

The trailer gives us a peek into the premise — in which Dhawan and Advani’s characters plan to get divorced. They fly back to their home only for Dhawan to find out that his father (Anil Kapoor) wants a divorce himself. Then comes along drama, emotional moments, some upbeat songs and, of course, comedy, bringing us a nicely packaged trailer that holds a lot of promise. 

Jugjugg Jeeyo became the topic of discussion the moment the trailer was unveiled. People are loving Dhawan and Advani’s equations, and have already declared the film a blockbuster. The response seems to be positive, hinting that the film has what it takes to draw audiences to theatres.
