Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khattar Raise The Roof In Dhadak’s Zingaat

It is fast becoming evident that it is Janhvi and Ishaan’s honest chemistry which might see Dhadak through

When Zingaat (the original one) released, it was truly the coolest song of the year. An instant hit, it was super fun and one couldn’t help but break into an impromptu jig whenever it was played. Ajay Gogavale’s voice did credit to the brilliant music by Ajay and Atul.

The choreography was charming, to say the least. Seeing Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar having an utter blast, showing us moves we’d expect to see at any Indian event, was heart-warming.

Now, we have the Dhadak version of Zingaat which released today. We are all aware that Shashank Khaitan’s Bollywood version of Sairat leaves out the singularly most important aspect of the film – the caste equation. While that has led to some major disappointment amongst fans of the original, we are still quite charmed by the chemistry that Ishaan Khattar and Janhvi Kapoor share in whatever we’ve seen of the remake.

There’s not much to say about Zingaat’s Hindi version apart from the fact that Janhvi and Ishaan seem to be having a lot of fun and that Ajay and Atul have replicated the magic of the original score. Amitabh Bhattacharya does a commendable job with the lyrics and the video has all the quintessential Dharma glamour. While Dhadak is backed by some of the biggest names in the industry, it is fast becoming evident that it is Janhvi and Ishaan’s honest chemistry which might see it through.
