Here’s How Fans Reacted:
According to reports in Deadline, the new series backed by Amazon Prime Video will premiere in 2023. More than 240 markets including the UK will be able to stream the show. The 75-year-old show is set to return under the working title Fukkatsu! Fuun! Takeshi-jo, or Return of Takeshi’s Castle.
Back in India, the shortened version of Takeshi’s Castle aired on POGO and was narrated by the iconic Jaaved Jaaferi. The actor added his own quirky style to the narration which made the show far more entertaining and comical. Interestingly, several other comedians had tried their hand at taking over the commentary but no one could ever accomplish what Jaaferi added to the show.
