However, one also needs to note how much these stars-cum-hosts end up taking home for their reality show stints, which by the way are usually exorbitant amounts! Today, top stars like Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Karan Johar are also some of the most popular TV hosts in India. And well, with huge star power comes a massive paycheque. As much as 350 crores per season, in the case of Salman Khan. Yes, you read that right!

Salman Khan
Bigg Boss has garnered a lot of buzz in the recent past because of Salman Khan. Sallu bhai has been hosting the reality show for quite a few seasons, much to the delight of his fans. Khan’s charming presence and humorous antics never go unnoticed. Turns out, the superstar will be soon seen hosting Bigg Boss 15 and is reportedly charging Rs 350 crore for the whole season.
Amitabh Bachchan
Kaun Banega Crorepati is back on television. There is no denying that no one can pull off hosting the show as well as Amitabh Bachchan. Talking about his fees, it is said that Big B charges a hefty amount for each episode. The legend reportedly earned Rs 25 Lakhs per episode during the first season, and with the growing popularity, the earnings eventually increased to a staggering amount of Rs 3.5 crores.
Kapil Sharma
Kapil Sharma has amassed love from the audience for his popular comedy show, Comedy Nights With Kapil. In the past 10-12 years of his career, Sharma’s popularity has skyrocketed. The comedian-turned-actor has hiked his fee now to Rs 50 lakh per episode, which sums up to a crore a week.
Karan Johar
Next on the list is Karan Johar, who’s not just a really smart filmmaker, but is an equally entertaining host. Johar recently hosted the first season of Bigg Boss OTT, which aired for six weeks and his fee for his stint was quite high. Johar is also loved for his talk show, Koffee With Karan, for which he reportedly charges Rs 1-2 crore per episode.
Akshay Kumar
While Rohit Shetty is a great host, fans miss Akshay Kumar on Fear Factor’s Khatron Ke Khiladi. The actor hosted the first and the third season of the stunt-based show and charged somewhere around Rs. 2.75 crores to Rs. 3 crores initially. Kumar later agreed to a sum of Rs 1.25 to Rs 1.75 crores per episode.
