I Am A Salman Bhai Fan And I Am Not Ashamed Of It
I Am A Salman Bhai Fan And I Am Not Ashamed Of It

From playing a cute Prem in Maine Pyaar Kiya to playing a domineering police man Chulbul Pandey in Dabangg, Salman’s got range.

If you talk about karma, Salman Khan’s done many more good things than he has done bad. (At least, from what we know for sure.) His films have alleviated the pain of several people, his posters have decorated many walls and his work in the field of charity is something we should never forget. So there goes my argument for my belief that Salman bhai indeed is a good human being.

As far as acting is concerned, he knows his game well. From playing a cute Prem in Maine Pyaar Kiya to playing a domineering police man Chulbul Pandey in Dabangg, Salman’s got range. Maybe he is not as good as the likes of Irrfan Khan or even Aamir Khan in terms of versatility, but that doesn’t mean his laugh is fake or tears are not felt from within.

O O Jaane Jaana proves that he can do happy songs really well, while Tadap Tadap Ke proves that he can do sad songs really well.

Even in terms of scenes, few actors could have pulled off Andaz Apna Apna quite like Salman. He stood his own against an ace actor like Aamir Khan and there was not a single instance where you thought that one guy was outperforming the other. No wonder the movie is a cult legend.

When it comes to romance, Salman Khan is probably next to only Shah Rukh. Those shy eyes in Hum Aapke Hain Kaun title song, is something even avant garde Hollywood actors will not be able to replicate.

His speech and voice too is usually very measured, even though he can be accused of being himself in every film. Most people don’t appreciate this effort, and just hate on him.

Action wise he may not be as good as Akshay Kumar or Tiger Shroff, but he has a swagger that when you see him beat up the bad guys on the big screen, you feel nothing but unbridled joy. That’s why his films work. You don’t need the athleticism of Tiger or Vidyut Jamwal, you need the heart of Salman.

Another thing I like about him is how he was okay playing second fiddle to Shah Rukh Khan in three films – Karan Arjun, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Hum Tumhaare Hain Sanam. He is held his ground in these movies too, and there are very few actors who can stay in the same frame as him and then outshine him.
