Sometime earlier this month, Madonna (yes, the one and only) arrived two hours late to her own concert. She sat on the piano and stated, in no uncertain terms: “Here’s something that you all need to understand. And that is, that a queen is never late.”

While, of course, this must have been met with ooohs and aaahs, Nate Hollander wasn’t impressed. According to Vanity Fair, Hollander bought $1,024.95 worth of tickets for a December stop on the Madame X tour. The concert was scheduled to start at 8:30 pm but Madonna kept arriving two hours late to some of her concerts. Live Nation rescheduled the Miami concert for 10:30 pm in order to meet everyone’s hopes – Madonna would arrive at 10:30 pm and fans wouldn’t have to wait for two hours.

However, Hollander filed a lawsuit citing breach of contract and negligent misrepresentation, Vanity Fair reports.

“Ticketholders had to work and go to school the next day, which prevented them from attending a concert that would end at around 1:00 a.m.,” the suit said. “Hollander attempted, without success, to obtain a refund for the three tickers [sic] purchased for the Madonna concert.”

Oh, well.
