It’s been a year since the wedding of the decade – the Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh shaadi.

We were all pretty excited once we heard that Ranveer andDeepika’s wedding was official. Before their wedding, the couple had released a statement on Instagram, saying, “With the blessings of our families, it gives us immense joy in sharing that our wedding is set to take place on the 14th and 15th November 2018. We thank you for all the love you have showered upon us over the years and seek your blessings as we embark on this incredible journey of love, loyalty friendship and togetherness.”

There were numerous rumours about the wedding, of course. “Since Deepika is a South Indian and Ranveer is of Sindhi-Punjabi origin, the two families decided to follow customs practised by both communities. A South Indian wedding has been planned for November 14, complete with Kannadiga rituals. The next day will see the couple solemnize their relationship as per the customs of a North Indian wedding (Anand Karaj),” an unnamed source close to the couple, had mentioned to Mid-Day.

“The celebrations will be followed by an intimate party on November 15,” the source had added.

Well, some of the rumours turned out to be true and some didn’t.

For their one-year anniversary, the couple sought the blessings of Lord Venkateshwara. Deepika was dressed in a red and gold bridal saree and Singh was dressed in a gold kurta with a red shawl.

According to media reports, the couple will visit the Golden Temple in Amritsar on the 15th of November and will then return to Mumbai.
