Here’s What Karan Johar Is Up To At The World Economic Forum

Indian filmmaker Karan Johar is in Davos for the five-day annual congregation of the World Economic Forum

Indian filmmaker Karan Johar is in Davos for the five-day annual congregation of the World Economic Forum and he’s in some august company. Johar joins the likes of Nobel laureate Kailash Satyarthi and Jane Goodall who’ll hold sessions which will be open to the public.

 

The Press Trust Of India (PTI) reports that while Satyarthi’s session will host a special screening of the documentary ‘The Price of Free’, which portrays the rescue of 80,000 child factory workers in India, Johar’s programme will focus on the violence women face.

Other panellists for the event include Hindou Oumarou Ibrahim, President of the Association for Indigenous Women and Peoples of Chad, Denis Mukwege, a Congolese gynaecologist and human rights activist and Ricken Patel, founder and chief executive officer of Avaaz.org, a global civic organisation with the world’s largest online activist community.
