With the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, lockdowns and quarantine have led to experimenting us with our daily routines. Be it getting haircuts or work from home, this year has truly changed everything. One person was definitely prepared for this, who is none other than George Clooney. Recently, the star announced that he does his own haircuts with a device famously advertised in commercials.
Guess what? He has been cutting his own hair for the past 25 years with a 1980s-era contraption that he attaches to a vacuum cleaner. The star revealed his trick on CBS when he was asked about how he adapted to months of lockdown in 2020.
He went ahead to reveal: “I’ve been cutting my own hair for 25 years. Years ago, I bought a thing called a Flowbee. It comes with a vacuum cleaner and clippers. I still have it.” It’s a device invented in the ’80s that can be placed on the end of a vacuum cleaner to trim hair. He continues, “My hair’s like straw, so it’s easy to cut,” Clooney explained, before imitating the noise the machine makes as it hoovers up his million-dollar locks. “Listen man, it works.”

It has been reported by Fortune Magazine that Flowbee sales surged when the coronavirus pandemic limited access to salon and barbershops in some areas. As Clooney told CBS News correspondent Smith, he’s been cutting his hair for 25 years and relies on the Flowbee.
An infomercial staple for decades, the product has been advertised on US television since the late 1980s and is essentially a vacuum cleaner that also cuts hair. It automatically clips hair while the vacuum removes the clippings, instantaneously eliminating the messy aspect of a haircut.
