Big Mouth (Season 2)

5 October 2018

Netlfix

There aren’t many adult animated sitcoms as edgy as this 10-episode series. The story is based on real life best friends Nick Kroll (Kroll Show, The League) and Andrew Goldberg (Family Guy) about the glorious nightmare that is teenage puberty. It’s equally wonderful and horrid for the two as they navigate through topics of masturbation, sexual arousal and puberty.

The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina

26 October 2018

Netflix

Looking to be spooked out just in time for Halloween? The Archie inspired comic turned series allows you the chance to. Starring Kiernan Shipka, the show imagines the origin and adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft. Need more reasons? Riverdale showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who also serves as chief creative officer of Archie Comics, penned the script for the series.

The alternative history drama based on the novel by Philip K Dick is back with the third season on what life after World War II may have been like if the Nazis had won the war. This season takes a more sci-fi angle, with The Greater Reich discovering “anomalies in time and space” that lead to alternate universes. Watch out for John Hans Tester as he returns to play Dr Josef Mengel and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D actor Jason O’Mara as an Irish immigrant.

A first of its kind, the series dwells into the lives of people who believe themselves to be descendants of the Russian royal family. To give a backstory, the Romanov family was the last dynasty to rule Russia from 1613. The contemporary anthology is stretched into eight episodes that try to solve the ambiguity of who is a Romanoff and what happened to the last remaining Romanoffs.

House Of Cards (Season 6)

2 November 2018

Netflix

The highly anticipated political drama returns for the sixth and final season with Golden Globe winner and Emmy Award nominee Robin Wright as President of the United States. Though the preview clip of Claire delivering a monologue in front of Frank Underwood’s grave gave away Underwood’s fate in the show, newer cast dynamics would be interesting to see as Cody Fern (American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace) and veterans Greg Kinnear and Diane Lane join in for the final 8 episodes run.

Homecoming

2 November 2018

Amazon Video

Homecoming is a psychological thriller of a caseworker, Heidi Bergman (Julia Roberts), at a facility treating soldiers returning from war, and Walter Cruz (Stephan James), a veteran eager to rejoin civilian life. The reason to watch out for this is simply Ms. Roberts presence in it. The show is created by Eli Horowitz and Micah Bloomberg and is set to premiere in November

Narcos: Mexico

16 November 2018

Netflix

The addictive, gripping and highly engaging show of them all undergoes a reset as the story shifts base from Colombia to Mexico to explore the origins of the modern drug war at a time when the Mexican trafficking world was a loose and disorganized confederation of independent growers and dealers. The first two looks of Michael Peña as DEA agent Kiki Camarena and Diego Luna as Felix Gallardo, the man unifying traffickers in order to build an empire already has us hooked.
