Anushka Sharma, who was last seen in Zero, has taken a break from work to spend time with her daughter, Vamika. She and her husband, cricketer Virat Kohli, welcomed a baby girl on the 11th of January. Virat Kohli had announced the happy news on Twitter and stated that both Anushka Sharma and the baby are doing well and that the family would like some privacy.
“We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you all for your love, prayers and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time,” Virat Kohli has tweeted then.
Apart from this, Sharma, is planning to open up an animal shelter on the outskirts of Mumbai. According to Filmfare, a well-placed source says, “If all things go as per plan, Sharma’s shelter will be ready for operations sometime next year! Work on the shelter has resumed again after the coronavirus pandemic had forced all operations to be temporarily postponed. She wants to build a state of the art animal shelter, a first of its kind in India and she is leaving no stone unturned to ensure this happens.”
