Harry Potter: The Deathly Hollows marked the end of an era. While Harry Potter fans were not ready to say goodbye to the franchise, Warner Bros. along with JK Rowling, ended the film on a big note. We see Harry and his friends finally defeating Voldemort and growing up to send their children to Hogwarts in the last film, and that was thought to be the conclusion of it. However, Rowling, John Tiffany, and Jack Thorne decided to write a play, which reportedly was planned to come out as Harry Potter And The Cursed Child movie later. The latest buzz around the same is that the film is finally in the works.

Yes, all the Harry Potter fans can rejoice as Warner Media’s CEO, Jason Kilar, just dropped a hint about the Wizarding World movie. According to The Hollywood Reporter, during a session of the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media & Telecommunications Conference, Kilar was reported saying, “There’s this little thing called Harry Potter, which is one of the most beloved franchises. And we’re incredibly thankful to be able to partner with J.K. Rowling and so I would argue there’s a lot of fun and potential there as well. On the movie front, there’s talk Warner Bros. could be developing a new tentpole based on the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child stage play.”

Another source close to the development told Screen Rant that WB is looking to get the original cast back — Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson. “Watson is apparently proving difficult to convince. WB sees huge potential in this property, thanks to the popularity of the stage play. This might end up replacing the Fantastic Beasts franchise, which WB is keen to end after the third movie,” added the source.

Well, the original cast is still not old enough to play the older versions of themselves in this film, so the makers are currently focused on wrapping up Fantastic Beasts’ third part. A major question that arises, is whether the cast will be interested in returning for another film or not, considering Watson had earlier expressed how she wants to move on from playing Hermione Granger on the screen.
