Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Easter Eggs Explained
Easter Eggs In ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3’ Trailer You May Have Missed

How many did you spot?

The trailer for the third and possibly the last instalment of MCU’s Guardians Of The Galaxy is finally here. The trailer was officially showcased during the Comic-Con Experience (CCXP) in São Paulo, Brazil. Set for a May 5, 2023 release, the first trailer of the movie was set to come out months ago but was delayed by James Gunn due to issues with unfinished VFX shots.

That said, here’s what the official synopsis reads like – “In Marvel Studios Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, our beloved band of misfits are looking a bit different these days. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.”

In case you’ve already seen the trailer, here are a few easter eggs you may have missed in your first go.

1) Adam Warlock

After being teased in the last movie, Will Poulter’s Adam Warlock finally makes his debut in all his golden glory. In the comic books, he was in the possession of the soul stone, granted to him by the High Evolutionary. In the MCU though, the role was swapped with Vision being in possession of the infinity stone instead. It’ll be interesting to see what direction Gunn takes the character towards.

2) Rocket And Lylla

Many might not know this but Rocket Raccoon has a love interest called Lylla in the source material. While she was teased earlier in a blink-and-you-miss-it easter egg, the sentient raccoon seems to be finally making her debut in the Guardians’ third outing, possibly while exploring Rocket’s backstory.

3) The Among Us Costumes

Another not-so-subtle nod here seems to be the brightly-coloured costumes referring to the very popular online multiplayer game, Among Us. Keeping in theme with the game’s design, the Guardians are seen venturing out in their suit, possibly to face Adam Warlock.
