Films like The Kargil Girl and Shakuntala Devi would have released in the theatres on any other day at any other time. However, with the coronavirus pandemic having changed the world as we know it, big-ticket films are opting for an OTT release instead of waiting for theatres to open. Even if theatres do open soon, it’ll be a while since we can go back to watching films the way we used to.
Now, in a virtual press-conference, Disney + Hotstar have announced seven films that are set for a direct release on the OTT platform. The posters of the films were also unveiled during the press meet which was hosted by actors Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, Abhishek Bachchan and Alia Bhatt.
The films releasing on the platform are Laxxmi Bomb, Khuda Hafiz, Sadak 2, Bhuj: The Pride of India, The Big Bull, Dil Bechara, and Lootcase.
Dil Bechara is the official Hindi remake of 2014 Hollywood romantic drama The Fault in our Stars and features the Bollywood debut of Sanjana Sanghi and will be Sushant Singh Rajput’s last release.
