The women of MCU have been in the limelight, especially since the release of Ms Marvel that has garnered a lot of adulation across the world. And now, fans are more eager than ever to meet the newest member of the Marvel universe — She-Hulk. The first glimpse of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law piqued interest the moment it dropped, and we’re keen to learn more about the life and times of attorney Jennifer Walters — played by Tatiana Maslany — who gains her cousin, Bruce Banner’s powers. Adding to the anticipation, MCU has unveiled a more detailed look.
The fresh trailer introduces new and old villains who will be pitted against Walters, who is now being trained by Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk. Tim Roth essays the role of Emil Blonsky or The Abomination, who has featured frequently as an antagonist in Hulk, and now is also Walters’s client. Jameela Jamil stars as Titania, one of the opponents that She-Hulk will face. Sorcerer Supreme Wong (Benedict Wong) is also a part of the line up.
While this trailer has fans intrigued, the last one received flak for having poor CGI — many were disappointed with the way in which Walter’s She-Hulk appeared on screen. The new trailer, which was unveiled during the Comic-Con event, addresses some of these concerns with a visibly notched up quality.
Since then, Twitter has been abuzz with appreciation. There’s also a lot of expectation resting on the possible cameos we’re going to see in this franchise, including that of Charlie Cox as Daredevil. MCU has managed to create the right noise with this video, if all the positive response is any indication.
Here’s What People Are Saying On Twitter:
During the Comic-Con panel, Maslany talked about the show briefly and said, “What’s so exciting about She-Hulk is this show is very different. It’s irreverent humour. She-Hulk is trying not to be a superhero.”
Directed by Kat Coiro and Anu Valia, the cast of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law also includes Ginger Gonzaga, Josh Segarra, Jameela Jamil, Jon Bass and Renée Elise Goldsberry. The series will have nine episodes that will stream exclusively on Disney+ from August 17th.
