A trailer for Arjun Kapoor’s Kuttey was recently released, and it gave off some serious ‘action-packed thriller’ film vibes. What’s more, Vishal Bhardwaj’s son Aasmaan Bhardwaj makes his directorial debut with this movie.
The cast also features Tabu, Konkona Sen Sharma, Naseeruddin Shah, Radhika Madan, Shardul Bhardwaj, and Kumud Mishra in key roles. Interestingly, the trailer ends with a tune from Kaminey’s iconic track, Dhan Te Nan. The Shahid Kapoor-starrer was directed by Vishal, and turns out daddy dearest has reprised the title track of Kaminey for his son’s debut directorial outing.
That Said, Here’s What Twitter Has To Say About The Trailer
During the launch event, Tabu averred how Aasmaan is different from his father in several ways. “He is very different from all Vishal Bhardwaj films, Aasmaan is a very different filmmaker. It’s a very new character for me. Actually, this character was written for a male actor, and then it was eventually tweaked for me. It was challenging and fun to play this part,” she said, adding, “This was like a home for me, as I remember the day when Aasmaan was born. I remember, Gulzaar Saab gave him the name Aasmaan. He used to roam on the sets of Maqbool with a camera made of wood. This is a very different zone for me.”
Kapoor also expressed his excitement over this movie’s release, “I cannot wait for people to see the trailer of ‘Kuttey’ and I hope they will love the freshness of the story and newness of the treatment. For me, ‘Kuttey’ is a very special film. I got the opportunity to work with a talented film-maker like Luv Ranjan, a remarkable debutant director like Aasman Bhardwaj, getting to know Vishal Bhardwaj as a producer, writer, and music composer, Gulzar Saab who has penned the lyrics and some of the best actors of our country like Tabu, Konkona Sen Sharma, Naseer sir, Kumud ji, Shardul Bhardwaj and Radhika Madan.”
