Shakira’s New Song With Bizzrap Is A Dig At Soccer Player Gerard Pique
Fans Laud Shakira For Throwing Shade At Cheating Ex Gerard Pique In Her New Track

Oops, she did it again!

Shakira’s latest collaboration with producer Bizzrap has garnered mammoth attention on the internet, for some really interesting reasons. The Colombian pop singer hasn’t been in a great space since her split from longtime beau and soccer player Gerard Pique. Rumors are now rife that the Waka Waka singer is using music as a medium to vent and heal. And well, that makes a great deal of sense as parts of the (leaked) lyrics from her latest track go like this: “I’m too big for you, that’s why you’re with someone just like you.”

Well, it doesn’t end there. Phrases like “It’s clear that it’s not my fault if they criticize you. I just make music, sorry if it splashes you.”, and  “A wolf like me doesn’t have time for novices like you/ I was too much for you, that’s why you’re now with someone more like yourself. You left me the in-laws as my neighbors, media outlets at my door, and in debt with the Treasury./ You thought you hurt me, but you made me stronger/ Women don’t cry anymore, they cash in.” have also been thrown into the mix! Explosive much? Well, well!

Pique and Shakira were together for close to 12 years before they called it splits a year ago. The ex-couple share two sons and will be co-parenting them as part of their custody agreement. The statement read: “Our sole objective is to provide our children with the utmost security and protection and hope that they can continue with their lives in a safe and calm environment. We appreciate that their privacy will be respected.”

Shakira has had no qualms about admitting how tough the entire phase has been. “I try to conceal the situation from [our kids] as much as I can. It’s really upsetting for two kids who are trying to process their parents’ separation. And sometimes I just feel like this is all a bad dream and that I’m going to wake up at some point. But no, it’s real. And what’s also real is the disappointment to see something as sacred and as special as I thought was the relationship I had with my kids’ father and see that turned into something vulgarized and cheapened by the media. And all of this while my dad has been in the ICU and I’ve been fighting on different fronts. As I said, this is probably the darkest hour of my life.”
