The teaser left us with more questions than it answered. The posters had left us even more confused but the Fanney Khan trailer is such a burst of sunshine in a gloomy world. The film stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in the lead roles and is directed by Atul Manjrekar. Watch the trailer below:

The trailer takes us through a rollercoaster of emotions – from smiling at Anil Kapoor’s determination to staring in awe at the beauty that is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and then, of course, there is the gift of Rajkummar Rao. Divya Dutta, as usual, is an absolute delight to watch on screen. If the film is anything like the trailer, Fanney Khan could just make us believe in the beauty of dreams again. It also shows us just how invested our parents are in our aspirations and the lengths they will go to see us happy.

The comedy is the official Hindi remake of the Belgian film Everybody’s Famous and will hit the theatres on August 3.
