Jacqueline Fernandez has brought her dancing A-Game on in the item number Ek Do Teen, which is a song in Baaghi 2. As you must be knowing, the song is a remix of the superhit Madhuri Dixit song from Tezaab.
“I can’t wait for Madhuri ma’am to watch the song. It is my tribute to her. Her performance in the original is unmatchable. Forget me, no one can ever come close to her,” Jacqueline told IANS.
Indeed, if you look at the song, it’s extremely well done and a lot of credit must go to choreographer Ganesh Acharya for doing full justice to the original. Usually, we hate remixes and there have been some really poor ones done by Bollywood in the last few years. Take for example, the hit song Humma Humma, which was remixed in the film OK Jaanu. It was terrible.
Last year, Jacqueline had wowed us by showing off her pole dancing skills in A Gentleman. “Pole dancing was something that happened by accident. We had to shoot a song for A Gentleman. So, I told my directors, Raj and DK, that we should incorporate pole dance in it as it’s popular around the world. Raj and DK were up for it. I began training for it and realised it was so difficult. I felt physically tortured,” she said in an interview with Filmfare. That said, she aced her training and the result is there for all to see.
Other than dancing, Jacqueline has worked a lot on her acting game too, and we hope to see her put in great performances in the future films. “Firstly, you’ve got to be extremely confident about your craft. I ask young girls, who want to be actresses to enrol in an acting school first. I didn’t pay much attention to this early in my career. I do regret that. I had a completely different idea of what I needed to do be an actress. The minute you’re confident about your craft, you’ll not succumb to stupid choices, take on wrong roles, work with wrong people or compromise yourself. When you’re not self-assured, you believe you can be replaced. So, you end up being a slave to other people. That should never be the case. Secondly, health should be your number one priority. And it’s not about dieting or looking good. When you’re healthy, you look your best, you’re positive and have more energy,” she said in an interview with Filmfare.
