Dwayne Johnson came and conquered the wrestling world, he conquered the acting world as well, and now it looks like the actor has an eye on politics. The Rock’s name has often popped up when elections have been discussed, and many fans of his have also expressed how they would like to see the star as the president. A recent Newsweek poll showed that Johnson has a high favorability to campaign as at least 46 per cent of Americans support Johnson running for president.

Addressing the same, Dwayne Johnson took to Instagram to respond and said, “I don’t think our Founding Fathers EVER envisioned a six-four, bald, tattooed, half-Black, half-Samoan, tequila drinking, pick up truck driving, fanny pack-wearing guy joining their club – but if it ever happens it’d be my honour to serve you, the people.” Well, this doesn’t come as a shock because back in 2017, Johnson had said that he has given some thought about going into politics, specifically running for president. He called the idea a “real possibility.”

“I feel like I’m in a position now where my word carries a lot of weight and influence, which of course is why they want the endorsement,” the actor had stated at the time. “But I also have a tremendous amount of respect for the process and felt like if I did share my political views publicly, a few things would happen — and these are all conversations I have with myself, in the gym at four o’clock in the morning — I felt like it would either (a) make people unhappy with the thought of whatever my political view was. And, also, it might sway an opinion, which I didn’t want to do,” he added.

Workwise, Dwayne Johnson has started working on the highly-anticipated DC verse movie Black Adam. Pierce Brosnan as DC sorcerer Dr Fate, along with Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, and Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone will also be a part of this film. Black Adam follows the story of the anti-hero of the same name, played by Johnson.
