Dia Mirza took the internet by storm when she announced her wedding a month ago. She got hitched to Vaibhav Rekhi with an intimate wedding in Mumbai and shared the lovely pictures with her fans on social media. Soon after the wedding, the couple, along with Rekhi’s daughter, flew to the Maldives for a vacation. The actress had been posting beautiful pictures from her time there. With this, she also shared a happy news with her fans. She announced that she is pregnant with her first child with Rekhi.

Mirza posted a picture where we can see her enjoy the gorgeous Maldivian sunset in a red floral kaftan. Her hand is placed on her baby bump as she looks up in the sky for the picture. Mirza’s post went viral in no time, and people showered her with love and good wishes. Her fans and friends dropped comments on her post, congratulating the actress on the beginning of a new journey. Anushka Sharma, who herself gave birth to a baby girl in February, dropped a heart emoji on the actress’ post. Other Bollywood celebs like Jacqueline Fernandez, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Shilpa Shetty, Sonali Bendre, Lara Dutta, Aditya Rao Hydari, Diana Penty also congratulated the star on the pregnancy.
Mirza and Rekhi got married on February 15, 2021 in a close-knit affair, attended by their close friends and family members. Hydari was also a part of her big day. Dia Mirza, who is very vocal about everything related to nature, in a post, wrote how she managed to incorporate a sustainable wedding ceremony: “The garden where I have spent every morning for the past 19 years was an absolutely magical setting and the most intimate and perfect space for our simple and soulful ceremony! We are so proud to have been able to organise a completely sustainable ceremony without plastics or any waste,” she wrote, sharing the pictures from the wedding.
Workwise, she was last seen in the 2020 film Thappad alongside Taapsee Pannu. Dia Mirza is also a United Nations Sustainability Development Goals Advocate.
