Brahmastra Tickets Sold For Rs 2000 At Delhi Theatre
A Delhi Theatre Is Selling ‘Brahmastra’ Tickets For Rs. 2K And It’s Houseful!

Making hay while the sun shines, perhaps?

Brahmastra, aka one of the most anticipated movies of the year, will hit the theatres on September 9. The movie is generating all the buzz that it needs, and the magic of larger-than-life promotions seems to be working in the team’s favor. Amid the boycott threats, reports are rife that theatres are going to be packed when the big-banner movie releases tomorrow. And, there’s a good reason that backs this assumption.

It was recently reported that the movie’s team raked in massive amounts through advance bookings, probably the highest a Bollywood movie has collected in 2022. While Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and 83 were leading the BO game so far, the advance bookings of the Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt starrer have broken all previous records.

Substantiating this happens to a buzz that a theatre in Delhi is selling tickets for the movie for a whopping Rs 2000! And turns out, tickets have almost sold out! If you’re still guessing where this could be, it’s the PVR Select City Walk (Gold) that’s doing it. The morning and afternoon shows are sold at Rs. 500 and Rs. 600 respectively, but the night-time shows often witness unusually high demand.  Needless to say, the Brahmastra craze continues to multiply with each passing day.

On the other hand, the Mumbai audience has to pay a lot lesser than their Delhi counterparts. There the tickets are priced at Rs. 1050 and so on. Other metro cities like Bengaluru and Kolkata are selling movie tickets between Rs 200 to Rs 650.

Interestingly, the makers have a big master plan for its release. It was earlier revealed in Hyderabad that the movie will release in 8000 screens in India and across the globe.

A few days ago Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Ayan Mukherji had gone to visit the Mahakal temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. But due to ongoing protests that broke out due to Kapoor’s ‘beef-loving’ comment, the actors were denied entry into the temple. An old video of Kapoor discussing his love for beef recently went viral on social media, which sparked protests across the state.

The conceptualization of Brahmastra was announced in 2014, however, the movie transpired into reality only years later, in 2022. Apart from Kapoor and Bhatt, the movie also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni. This movie marks the first installment, with two more parts to be released. The team reportedly shot the movie across various locations in Bulgaria, Edinburgh, Thailand, Mumbai, and the like.
