Deadpool has finally entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Ryan Reynolds, who essays this goofy character on the screen, confirmed the news with a hilarious video. While promoting his latest release, Free Guy through the video he posted on Twitter, the actor made it official that Deadpool is a part of MCU.

Reynolds posted a reaction video to his upcoming movie titled Free Guy’s trailer. One can see Deadpool and Thor Ragnarok’s lovable character Korg, voiced by filmmaker-actor Taika Waititi,  sitting and commenting on the trailer. “If you include Deadpool’s cocaine rider, this is the most expensive reaction video ever made,” quipped the actor while tweeting the video.

Towards the end of the clip, Deadpool asks Korg for any advice to enter the MCU. To which he hysterically replies, “Uh, have a dream… uhhh, chase it. Lose that dream. Just sabotage all sorts of happiness in the pursuit of that dream. Climb up to the peaks of that mountain and when you get to the top, land at the bottom and realise you’re never gonna achieve that dream, and at that point, check your emails. Maybe you’ll get something from your agent saying, ‘Marvel wants to talk.’” Deadpool is seen saying that he prefers to call it ‘The Dark World.”

Marvel’s head, Kevin Feige had earlier said that while Deadpool will be entering the MCU pantheon, they will not be toning down the R rated content from the subsequent films.

Earlier, Ryenolds’ DC character, Green Lantern, was also not a part of Zack Synder’s vision for the elite superhero group forming the Justice League. Ryan Reynolds had then let Snyder know that he would love to be part of the glorious Snyder Cut.

The actor started off his tweet by first refuting the Black Adam rumours, after reports emerged that Reynolds could be seen alongside Dwayne Johnson in the DC film. “I’m not playing Hawkman in Black Adam. Although I generally do whatever the hell @TheRock tells me to do.” Reynolds continued, “I would however love to be in Zack Snyder’s Justice League movie and I’ve heard I may already be in it? #SnyderCut”

While fans surely missed seeing Green Lantern on the screen, they now have a reason to celebrate.
