Dasvi, directed by Tushar Jalota, has finally premiered on Netflix and JioCinema today. Featuring Abhishek Bachchan, Yami Gautam , and Nimrat Kaur in the lead roles, the film revolves around the importance of education in today’s times and deals with the topic with a comical touch. Soon after the release of its trailer, the film was part of everyone’s must-watch list.

The film revolves around the story of a ‘desi anpadh jatt’ Ganga Ram Chaudhary who has made money through illegal means. Later his name surfaces in a scam that lands him in jail. During his time behind bars, he decides to clear his 10th board exams and vows not to sit on the CM’s throne until he passes his “dasvi.” The film shows Nimrat Kaur as Ganga Ram’s wife who gets an opportunity to taste power and position while being in ‘Satta’. Yami Gautam portrays the role of a strict jailor who gives hard time to Ganga Ram during his stay in jail.

Earlier, a dialogue from the film caught everyone’s attention wherein Abhishek said, “Everyone loves Deepika.” Reacting to the same, Deepika had shared the trailer on her IG story and wrote, “Thank you team #Dasvi for the LOVE! Wishing you guys the best!”
