Nearly two years after losing their baby to miscarriage, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are expectant parents yet again! Teigen announced this news on Instagram by posting two photos of her baby bump. She shared a heartwarming note in the post, addressing the pain of losing their baby in 2020, her fertility journey thus far, and being too nervous to disclose her pregnancy.
The 36-year-old model and cookbook author said, “We have another on the way. Every appointment I’ve said to myself, ‘ok if it’s healthy today I’ll announce’ but then I breathe a sigh of relief to hear a heartbeat and decide I’m just too nervous still. I don’t think I’ll ever walk out of an appointment with more excitement than nerves but so far, everything is perfect and beautiful and I’m feeling hopeful and amazing.”
Teigen shares two children — Luna and Miles — with Legend. In 2020, they announced the loss of their son, Jack, on social media. Soon after condolences came pouring in from fans and followers, for the couple.
Tiegen was 20 weeks pregnant when she suffered her last miscarriage. She was reportedly rushed to the hospital due to excessive bleeding that eventually led to the condition.
Talking about losing a baby, Chrissy Teigen said that the miscarriage was “the greatest pain I could ever imagine”. At the time, she wrote that the couple was “shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before”. In December 2020, she had even announced that she was constantly worried about whether she’d ever be pregnant again.
