Chadwick Boseman’s final tweet, announcing the world had lost the talented actor, has now become the most liked tweet in Twitter history. The final tweet had a photo of Boseman accompanied with a statement from his family.
Previously, the record was held by Barack Obama’s 2017 tweet, which garnered four million likes. Whereas, Boseman’s tweet has close to six million likes. In a public statement, Twitter noted that the fans came together to celebrate the life of Chadwick Boseman, and the tweet sent from his account last night became the most-liked tweet of all time in Twitter history. The social media platform confirmed the title on its own account, with the caption: “Most liked Tweet ever. A tribute fit for a King. #WakandaForever.”
The platform also brought back the “Black Panther” hashtag emoji in honor of the late actor.
