Cardi B certainly isn’t a rapper who shies away from being explicit or hesitate going into graphic sexual details in her songs. But she still has her limits.
During an appearance on the Kyle and Jackie O radio show, the rapper revealed the three words she finds disgusting. So much so that she can never say those words in her songs.
The three words happen to be ‘moist’, ‘discharge’ and ‘horchata.’
“I mean, ugh, ‘discharge’ is kind of gross,” she said on the show. “A cringy word to me is ‘moist,’ I just hate it. And I hate the word ‘horchata.’ It’s a Mexican drink. It’s really good, but I just hate that word,” she further explained.
Cardi B’s latest single WAP, managed to break several records after its release. But despite its roaring success, many raised questions over the content of the song, including her own record label. In an interview on Ash London Live, the rapper said the label was concerned about the lyrics, since the sentence “wet ass pussy” was repeated several times in the song.
“When they heard the song, they were like, ‘We really like it, but that song is so explicit,’” she said.
The label eventually gave the green light, and it clearly paid off. WAP had the biggest opening week in history, with 93 million US streams and had the biggest sales week of 2020.
