BTS sent a message to the finalists of the K-pop India Contest 2020.

In the video, the band members said: “We are pleased and proud that this K-Pop event is taking place during such difficult times. We are grateful that many people in India have shown such great interest and passion about K-Pop. We will be coming to India with music and a cool stage that will move and comfort you during these tough times.”

The event was organised virtually for the very first time by  the Korean Culture Centre India (KCCI) in Delhi. Kim Kum-pyoung, the director of KCCi,  said that they decided to go ahead with it because of the K-Pop fans in the country, reported by TOI.

Recently, the band scored their first number one on Billboard Hot 100. A South Korean government study claimed that BTS’ US chart-topping single Dynamite could generate more than $1.4 billion for the economy for the country and create thousands of new jobs, reported by AFP.
