BTS’s fandom is growing day by day, and the boy band never even imagined that they will bag a Grammy nomination for one of their songs. Dynamite, a 2019 released song by BTS, gained massive popularity among fans, and has been nominated in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category by the Recording Academy. The members of the band are rejoiced to have received so much love from their replete fan base, widely known as BTS Army, and called it a victory in itself.

Reacting to the nomination, BTS’s RM aka Kim Nam-joon said that he is very nervous about it. “We’re nervous and actually, frankly, we’re not expecting (to win) so much because we don’t want to get disappointed because Lady Gaga, Taylor, Bieber, all the big names (are nominated). So, we’re kind of confused. It’s like a rollercoaster — back and forth, back and forth, up and down,” RM told The Associated Press.

Jimin, another member of the band, added, “It’s really hard to express in words. Even now we can’t still believe that we were nominated, and we’ll be able to perform at the Grammys. So, we’re thankful. We’re honoured.” Apart from BTS’ Dynamite, Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s Rain on Me, Taylor Swift and Bon Iver’s Exile, Justin Bieber and Quavo’s Intentions, J Balvin, Bad Bunny and Dua Lipa’s Un Dia (One Day) are also nominated under the same category.

The Grammy Awards 2021 ceremony was originally scheduled for January 31, but was delayed due to the pandemic. The Grammys will now take place on March 14 (March 15 in India). The Recording Academy announced the grand line up for the award function including global pop stars such as BTS, Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, Cardi B, Post Malone, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, and Chris Martin, and they’re all set to perform on stage.
