With the year coming to an end, Twitter has shared their year-end recap of 2020. A list from major countries and the most tweeted, liked and talked about personalities and subjects on the platform. It has also revealed the list of the top 10 most tweeted K-Pop accounts of 2020.
2020 has been a really great year for K-pop as BTS made history as the first Korean group to be nominated at the Grammys as well as the first one to have number 1 on the US Top 100 Billboard. Other than that, the platform has revealed stats about which were the most used hashtags, retweets and likes relating to the the K-Pop bands.
BTS topped the list of Most Tweeted K-Pop account, making it their fourth year to top the list. It was then followed by EXO who gained a lot of attention this year when they announced their solo activities in the first quarter of 2020. Third place was grabbed by Blackpink, who also made noise this year with their multiple collabs and record-breaking titles.

BTS also bagged the position of the Most Tweeted account and the most Tweeted Musician account. It was also in the second position for having gotten the Most Retweeted Tweet, where the tweet with Jungbook’s cover video of Lauv’s Never Not is the second-most retweeted tweet in 2020.
Another category that drew a lot of attention was Top 10 Musicians worldwide. BTS secured the top position there as well and another K-Pop group that made to the list was Blackpink. Other musicians on the list were, Kanye West, Beyonce, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Cardi B, Drake, Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift.
