Beyoncé has, yet again, created history. The singer who won four awards at the 63rd Grammy Awards, broke the record for the most wins by a female artiste. Taking her haul to 28 Grammys, she broke veteran singer Alison Krauss’s record yesterday. Queen Bey won two awards for Savage, bagged the Best R&B Song award for Black Parade, and two more awards last night.

Beyoncéand husband Jay-Z had banned Grammys a couple of years ago, but the singer surprised everyone with her appearance on the Los Angeles stage this year. The singer arrived in a figure-hugging black leather mini wrap-dress that looked gorgeous on her.
“As an artist, I believe it’s my job and all of our jobs to reflect the times. And it’s been such a difficult time. So I wanted to uplift, encourage, celebrate all of the beautiful Black queens and kings that continue to inspire me and inspire the whole world,” she said, while accepting her award for Black Parade.
Beyoncé said: “I have so much respect for you,” as she looked at Megan Thee Stallion and thanked her for the collaboration. “I’m honoured that you asked me to be a part of this song,” added the singer, who shares the win for Savage with Jay-Z and various other co-writers. Megan Thee Stallion also won three awards, and became the first female rapper to win the best rap song. She also became the fifth rap artist to win best new artist.
Apart from this, Beyonce’s daughter Blue Ivy also created history, and became the second-youngest Grammy awardee. The mother-daughter duo bagged the award for the best music video for Brown Skin Girl. Taylor Swift also took away the award for Album of the Year for her quarantine album, Folklore, and it’s the third time that she has grabbed the coveted trophy. Billie Eillish became the first artist to receive an award for a non-released song. She bagged a Grammy for the theme song of the unreleased James Bond movie No Time To Die. Harry Styles also won his first-ever Grammy this year for Watermelon Sugar.
